That evening I have discovered a wonderful new location, where I had never been before: the park of the former Lapinlahti mental hospital. Even though close to the city centre, I had never really walked through it until Vanessa suggested it for our photowalk. I met Vanessa — model and blogger at Nessan Elämää — together with makeup artist Hanna Kallio around 8 pm, hoping to catch the evening light. Even though the sky was overcast, we found a bush of lovely midsummer roses beside a rustic wooden house and the final results turned out to be quite beautiful, don't you agree?
